Equity Bank, in which we have a significant shareholding, is the fastest growing Kenyan bank with over two million clients and market capitalisation of more than USD1 billion.  The bank is the leader in microfinance and acquired Uganda Microfinance Bank in 2008. The bank’s CEO, James Mwangi, was the recipient of the G8 Summit award for microfinance in 2007.
