Our investments in other sectors are mainly in the services sector and media through a number of companies operating mostly in Mauritius. In the media sector we hold minority stakes in newspaper and magazine publishing and radio broadcasting.

Given the size of our investments in the country, we are able to invest in services sector start-ups which have a quick growth rate as they can provide services to companies within our investment portfolio.


Our equity holdings in the services sector include:  
 

• Marketing and advertising agency that ranks in the top 10 in Mauritius and provides services of PR, advertising and brand development 
• Property maintenance
• Clearing and forwarding
• IT maintenance, networking and programming
• Internet kiosk services
• HR administration and recruitment
• Financial factoring
• Security services
• Sales development 

The strategy is to provide critical mass through “captive” business to develop the necessary resources and know-how that allows them to expand in the market either through acquisition and mergers or organic growth.
